Is your Border Terrier model material or just a complete poser?! We're opening the photocall for our popular Border Terrier Welfare 2023 Calendar. Hotly anticipated by Border Terrier fans far and wide, we sold over 700 copies of our 2022 edition (and still a couple of copies left if you missed the boat). If you'd like to submit photos for our 2023 issue, read on to find out how.
What we're looking for
We love looking at photos of Border Terriers and we know you do too, so we'd like to fill our calendar with lots of gorgeous girls and bonny boys once again.
Do you have the perfect seasonal image that epitomises spring, summer autumn or winter, or maybe a pic that speaks of a particular holiday such as Christmas, Halloween or Easter. Perhaps you've captured your walking adventures in landscapes or at particular landmarks, or maybe it's a happy snap in which your Border Terrier is understandably the star, or playing the fool in a comedic pose (or even both!).
Don't forget we'll also be keeping an eye out for our Cover Star amongst the images submitted, so this image will need to be outstanding and of particularly high image quality that it can be printed at A4 size without loss of definition.
Obviously we've all experienced restrictions due to the pandemic, but you may have been able to get out and about, although if you haven't had the chance yet 'library' photos are also acceptable (we want you to stay safe and not break any current guidance/legislation in place). However, you may have the perfect shot right from home - just make sure there is nothing to geolocate the image to a home address.
Oh and if you're one of our brilliant international supporters, then the beauty of our Calendar is that photos can be submitted for anywhere - so if your Border is across borders, then make sure you submit your pics to give our Calendar a truly international flavour!
A note about images
We need quality pictures, in both landscape and portrait; they must be clear and in focus, but no professional photography please, unless you hold the copyright to the image.
Ideally, please send us the original image in the best quality you can, as downloads from facebook or twitter deteriorate image quality.
All Borders are welcome, especially those who have been rescued or re-homed, any age, past or present; however Border Terriers must be the focus of the image. Please submit different images that have been used in previous years calendar, so that it enables us to keep the design fresh - we know your photo rolls will be full of images of your best furry friends!
How to submit your photos
Following the success of our online submission process last year, instead of emailing photos people submitted their Border Terrier images via our Google form, so we are continuing the same process this year.
